Every step, an investment in nature
We operate under the NTS-TS 003 Sectoral Technical Standard, with social, economic and environmental commitments.
Responsible tourism development
Aware of the importance of sustainable tourism development and embracing the principles of the NTS-TS 003 Sectoral Technical Standard, we commit to managing our activities sustainably: to prevent, eliminate or reduce the impact of our operations on the destinations we offer.
We commit to motivating and training our staff on the principles of sustainable tourism, and to continuously improving across every dimension — sociocultural, economic and environmental — as well as in hiker satisfaction.
Our sustainability commitments
Sociocultural
Respect for the identity and culture of every territory we visit.
Economic
Fair support for the local economy: guides, lodges and rural families.
Environmental
Conservation of biodiversity and rational use of natural resources.
The impact we walk together
Our concrete commitments
- Promote programs for the protection of biodiversity and more efficient production, in compliance with the law.
- Respect gender and ethnic equality within and beyond our activities.
- Safeguard the protection of children and the most vulnerable social groups, including the elderly.
- Ensure conditions of hygiene and safety. We are a "smoke-free" organization.
- Select suppliers that promote good sustainable tourism practices.
- Report all commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (Laws 679/2001, 1329/2009, 1336/2009, 1453/2011).
- Report the illegal trafficking of Colombian wild flora and fauna (Decree 1608/1978, Law 599/2000).
Traveling with us protects the land
When you travel with us you energize the economy of the regions we visit and fairly support the local hosts who safeguard nature. We are a "smoke-free" organization that watches over the protection of children, vulnerable groups, gender and ethnic equality, and reports all illegal trafficking of wild flora and fauna.
